Project Access Clark County coordinates access to specialty medical care for uninsured low-income people living in Clark County, Washington. Please read below for information about the program. Can I make my own doctor appointments? Because Project Access Clark County is operated by volunteer doctors, all doctor appointments must be scheduled by your Patient Care Coordinator. If you have been enrolled in Project Access Clark County and need a doctor appointment, please call your Patient Care Coordinator for scheduling assistance. Project Access is operated entirely by volunteer doctors and health care providers who do not get paid for their time, and it is important that all patients show up on time for their appointments.
What do I do if I lost my Project Access Clark County ID card? If you have lost your Project Access ID card, please call your Patient Care Coordinator immediately.
I just had my appointment with a medical specialist. What do I do now? After every Project Access doctor appointment, please call your Patient Care Coordinator for assistance in scheduling any necessary follow-up treatment.
My Project Access doctor just gave me a prescription for medication. Where do I go to get my medicine? You may receive prescribed medications at participating pharmacies by presenting your Project Access Clark County ID Card. If you have questions about prescriptions, please call your Patient Care Coordinator.
What if I need to cancel an appointment? Project Access is operated entirely by volunteer doctors and health care providers who do not get paid for their time, and it is important that all patients show up on time for their appointments. In the rare case you should need to cancel a Project Access appointment, please call your Patient Care Coordinator immediately. Cancellations must be made before the scheduled appointment.
What if I forgot to show up to an appointment? In the rare case you should forget to show up for an appointment, call your Patient Care Coordinator immediately. Project Access doctors are volunteering their time, and are not paid. It is incredibly important that you arrive on time to all of your appointments. Failure to show up to more than one appointment could result in dismissal from Project Access Clark County.

How do I become a Project Access Clark County Patient? People living in Clark County, Washington who have specialty medical needs may be referred to Project Access Clark County by a medical doctor, including those at Sea Mar Community Health Center, New Heights Clinic, and Free Clinic of Southwest Washington. If a patient’s medical condition is an emergency and needs to be treated immediately, the patient should go to the nearest Emergency Room. If the patient’s medical condition is urgent but not an emergency, services are available at Free Clinic of Southwest Washington, Sea Mar Community Health Center, or New Heights Clinic. Referrals to Project Access may not be made from the Emergency Room.
Is Project Access a type of health insurance? Project Access is not health insurance. Project Access Clark County is a program that helps uninsured people access specialty health care. If you become enrolled in Project Access Clark County, you will still be uninsured.
My doctor just recommended me for Project Access. What do I do now? If a doctor has determined that you have a need that requires a medical specialist, the doctor will submit the necessary paperwork to Project Access Clark County. The Patient Care Coordinator for Project Access Clark County will then call you to schedule an appointment to discuss eligibility and enrollment.
I know someone who would like to become a Project Access Clark County patient. What do they do? If you have a friend or family member who would like to become a patient with Project Access Clark County, they need to be referred to the program by a physician. All Project Access patients will receive their own Patient ID Card once they are successfully enrolled in the program
