Patient testimonials
“I was very sick. Had I not been able to get into Project Access, I think I would have died. There’s nothing I can say or do to repay Project Access. They’ve given me a new life. I feel as if I’d been reborn.“

“If it weren’t for Project Access, I wouldn’t have a nose. I want other people to know that with Project Access you’re going to get help. I’m glad we have a resource like Project Access, and that there are people out there who care about others.”

“I was constantly in pain, felt bad all of the time and was nauseous every time I ate something. I couldn’t move without being in pain. I’ve never really had anything go wrong with my health and didn’t know where to go to get help. I was so happy that someone was able to see me, figure out what was wrong, and get me the help that I needed. I was scared and [Dr. Friedman] calmed me down. I knew that I needed the surgery, but I wasn’t sure about getting it. I was offered a job as a maintenance tech but had to turn it down. I couldn’t move without being in pain and knew that I wouldn’t be able to do the job. After the surgery I called to see if the job was still open. It was and a month later I started working.”

“I love Dr. Kate. Everyone should be so lucky to have a doctor like her if they have to go through something as horrible as cancer. I have been very blessed. [Project Access] is a great program. I don’t know where I’d be without them.”

“I have been to so many clinics where all they do is see you for ten minutes then send you away with a large bill, but the people at Free Clinic are different. You truly care about people’s hearts and souls and you make sure we’re okay. I’ve come to Free Clinic for basic urgent care and I’m also in Project Access Clark County and I can tell you actually care about us from the heart. I am grateful that someone cares enough to call my home and ask how my appointment went. Thank you for everything.

“I am so grateful for the generosity of all the doctors who donated tests and care. If I want to be productive in the society, my health needs to be in the best shape at all times. Old Town Clinic and Project Access gave me the ability to achieve that.”

“I’d never been really sick before. It was incredible, really scary not to be healthy, not to know what was going on. I just can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done. I’m speechless as to what Project Access has done for me, the program has been a godsend. If it wasn’t for Project Access, I wouldn’t be close to where I am today in terms of my health and how much better I feel. I truly, truly appreciate all the hard work you have done. You got me back on my feet.”
