As a leader in the healthcare community, Project Access NOW (PANOW) is working with our partners to closely monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are taking necessary precautions in advance of our March 13th gala and encourage each person to make their own decision about attendance, equipped with full and accurate information from the Oregon Health Authority.
Event planners continue to monitor city, county, and state health department reports daily. Based on current recommendations, and the low risk of serious health complications for most people, the event will proceed as planned. Of course, as always, all event participants (including: staff, vendors, guests, and volunteers) should stay home if they are feeling unwell. Our venue, caterers, and other event partners are taking great precautions to ensure the premises are sanitary and extra supplies are on hand. We will have bilingual signage throughout the event, reminding attendees to wash their hands and will make sure there are sanitation supplies readily on hand.
Thank you to all for your support of PANOW. Please stay tuned to our website (projanow.ejoinme.org/MardiGras2020), social channels (Facebook.com/PANOWPDX and Twitter.com/PANOWPDX), and email to stay up-to-date with any future necessary modifications. Now, more than ever, we are reminded of the important nature of healthcare access for all – a mission the proceeds of our event will support.
Sincerely,
Leigh Wilson, Event Chair
