Debriefing Oregon's 2024 Legislative Session
Another state legislative session has come and gone already! 2024’s session was a busy one, with lots of committee discussion, public input, and workshopping crammed into just 32 days. There were a number of notable pieces of legislation that Project Access NOW tracked this session, some of which were passed and will become law, and others that didn’t quite make it to the finish line.

Are you an Oregonian passionate about equity in health? Are you looking for a focused, impactful way to give back to the community utilizing your skills as a professional? Apply to be a board member at Project Access NOW! We are currently seeking individuals from a range of backgrounds who wish to serve a three-year term during an exciting time of change at the organization. Individuals from traditionally underrepresented communities and representing community-based organizations are strongly encouraged to apply. Potential candidates should represent an aspect or segment of the health care community.
Vital Support Provided to Community Members via PANOW's Community Assistance Program
Our Community Assistance Program helps individuals successfully transition from the hospital back into the community. It is an honor to support individuals like Darrell who need support as they return to wellness. Thank you to our partners who make this program possible! Mission Moment
"Project Access NOW's Community Health Worker (CHW) team helped me with my medical appointment, Trimet, and Oregon Health Plan application. I'm pregnant, maybe 6 months. I don't know how long I've been pregnant. I haven't even had a doctor's appointment. The day I went to WIC, a CHW affiliated me with OHP. We got an appointment in April, but then they [were able to change] it to March. I don't speak English and the CHW has been helping me to talk to the clinics."
