Hi everyone,

Open Enrollment kicked off on November 1st, and our team has been hard at work engaging and enrolling clients in coverage. A big thank you to the OHA Office of Community Health and Engagement (OCHE) and the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace for their support, which enables us to assist people with insurance enrollment—especially during this confusing time for many. Additionally, thank you to our Health System Partner Committee - led by Justin Huff of Legacy Health and including representation from Kaiser Permanente, OHSU, Adventist Health, Hillsboro Medical Center, and Providence Health & Services - who fund the Payment Support program that helps stabilize low-income individuals with marketplace plans.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve focused on increasing visibility for our organization and strengthening collaboration in anticipation of significant threats to access to care and coverage. On October 30th, we hosted the Medicaid and Healthcare Access Planning Convening, bringing together over 40 individuals from 27 partner organizations. These organizations represent a broad cross-section of entities that provide vital services and resources as part of Oregon’s safety net.

On October 30th, we were also featured on KPTV 12 in a story about ACA subsidies expiring. Watch the story here.

As a reminder, GiveGuide ends December 31st—thank you for helping us make an impact!

Finally, a special thanks to our board for their leadership and support during this critical time.

These are challenging times but it has been notable how people are leaning into partnering and supporting each other. We are grateful to be part of this incredible community. Thank you all for your continued commitment to keeping people in Oregon safe and healthy.

With Gratitude,

Tracy Carver, CEO
