Dear Friends,

As we close out the year, I want to thank you for your support and partnership and share how recent trends, and the stories behind them, are shaping our work at Project Access NOW in the year ahead.

This year, requests for healthcare navigation rose by more than 10% across all programs, a clear sign that people are facing more complex challenges in accessing care. In 2025, our team assisted 16,049 individuals navigating health care challenges. With expiring tax credits and rising Marketplace premiums on the horizon, we expect even greater demand for our insurance premium Payment Support program in 2026. These changes will make affordability harder for many, and we’re preparing to step up.

We’re also planning ahead for the likelihood that up to 260,000 Oregonians will fall off insurance for various reasons, needing increased navigation support and possibly Donated Care again. We are ready to respond quickly with our partners as circumstances change and appreciate those who have stepped up to think ahead regarding access.

In October, we gathered with partners at our convening event to strengthen collaboration and share strategies. Looking ahead, we’ll continue that momentum in January with a webinar hosted by HCAO—another opportunity to advance access and awareness together. In the spring, we are looking forward to gathering for our annual gala and would be honored if you would save the date to join us.

Much of our progress this year has been possible thanks to our incredible staff as well as external partners who stepped up in meaningful ways. Their commitment reminds us that collaboration is key to making care accessible for all.

As we prepare for these challenges, we invite you to get involved. Your support ensures we can meet growing needs and keep care within reach for those who need it most. Please consider donating through GiveGuide.org.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can make sure care remains accessible for everyone who needs it.

Sincerely,

Tracy Carver, CEO
